Dinner for a Dragon
This Weedy Seadragon eyes off a tiny crustacean for dinner. Although they do not seem like fast animals, Seadragons can move their tiny heads incredibly fast when food is involved, snatching small animals with lightning speed and precision. When photographing Seadragons at night I use a low powered video light or a red light so as not to damage the eyes of these amazing animals. However the animals do enjoy how easy it makes finding dinner when the dive lights shine on their prey! Taken beneath Flinders Pier, Victoria, Australia. Photographed by myself, Matt Testoni.
